St. Mary’s Church

Our church is one of the most beautiful and most admired in our Diocese. The initiative to have a children’s liturgy group to help our children at their Sunday mass has been very well received. Also more of our parishioners were trained by the Diocese both in pastoral and youth ministry. Over thirty-five people did an adult catechesis course on the new Irish Catholic Catechism over the winter months here in Listowel run by Fr. Sean 0. Sheehy.

Listowel is acclaimed nationally and internationally as a place of literary excellence. Nestled in the northern half of the Diocese of Kerry, along the beautiful coastal N69 route – beautiful Listowel, serenaded night and day by the gentle waters of the River Feale. We are also part of Listowel Pastoral Area along with Lixnaw, Duagh and Moyvane as our neighbouring Parishes.
