Listowel Comhaltas
Listowel Comhaltas is well known as an established organization in the town which has hosted 14 All Ireland Fleadhs. Presently, their focus is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of traditional Irish Music, Dance, Song & Language.
The home is in the Kerry Writers Museum where every Saturday the rooms are filled with students both young and old and tutors whom are eager to pass on their knowledge. Classes are held for both children and adult in nearly all instruments including Harp and Uillean Pipes.
The youth learn not only these traditions but also the traditions of friendship and a sense of community. The students perform at parades, community events, nursing homes, tourist venues,rambling houses and competitions.
