To satisfy her creative side, Aoife decided to study fashion at The Mallow College of Design and Tailoring and focused her attention on Millinery – studying this art on a part- time basis both in Ireland and the UK.

Around this time Aoife won the coveted Best Dressed Lady at Listowel’s Harvest Festival Race Meeting wearing one of her own hats. This encouraged Aoife to set up her own small, couture millinery business. From humble beginnings, catering to family, friends and a few loyal local ladies; Aoife’s designs are now sought out by clients as far afield as New Jersey, Brussels, Switzerland and the UK – one of Aoife’s wedding hats was worn to the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton (now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge).

Aoife never ceases to expand her knowledge and skill as her passion dictates – most recently she has studied under well-known Milliner and mentor Lina Stein. Not only relentless in her pursuit of knowledge, Aoife also goes to great lengths and travels great distances to source new and different materials. Her innovative use of materials has become a trademark of Aoife Hannon hats and is evident in her extensive collection of bridalwear head pieces, bridal hats, veils, mother of the bride hats, fascinators, pillbox hats, ladies hats, cloche hats and casual hats for all occasions.

Aoife designs and makes unique headpieces. Aoife will also custom-design hats and head pieces to coordinate with a particular outfit.
