MAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 2018 - Listowel is the place to be!
The Military Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the deployment of the first Irish Defence Forces Battalion to participate in UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon)
We are honouring those who died whilst in service in Lebanon and celebrating the great tradition of Irish Peacekeeping worldwide.
The Parade start from Emmett's GAA Grounds and will be on the Town Square around 2.50pm.
Wreath Laying will take place by VIP's and Veterans Associations.
Last Post, Reveille and the National Anthem will be played followed by a Flypast.
There is also many other attractions taking place over the Saturday and Sunday so a great weekend for Veterans and for Family Fun.
The Defence Forces will have displays, there will be an Irish United Nations Veterans Stand and a stand from An Cosantoir.
In Lynch's Field, there will be stall-holders, movie cars, replica spitfire and on Sunday there will be a ComicFest in the Listowel Arms Hotel.
"A Night at teh Movies" Disco is on there on Sunday night - come dressed as your favourite movie character!
