Listowel Citizens Information Centre - CIC

The Citizens Information Service in Listowel provides information on public services and entitlements in Ireland and much more.

The Listowel office is located on the Town Square just a few doors down from the Listowel Arms Hotel.

The service is free, independent and private and will:

  • Give you information on your rights
  • Help you get what you are entitled to
  • Give you information on payments and allowances
  • Help you to fill out forms
  • Help you with an appeal or to make a complaint

The Citizens Information Service provides information on:

  • Moving Country
  • Money and Tax
  • Family and Relationships
  • Health
  • Justice
  • Consumer Affairs
  • Death and Bereavement
  • Government in Ireland

Other services provided include:

  • Advocacy Service for social welfare and employment issues
  • Free Legal Advice by appointment every second Thursday of each month between 5.30pm-8pm
  • MABS (Money Advice and Budgeting Service) for a free, independent, confidential and non-judgmental service providing one-to-one advice to people having difficulties with managing their money or with debt
  • CAVA (Chartered Accountants Voluntary Advice) for free financial advice for businesses

There is also a telephone service based in Cork (0761-07 4000) and online information through their website.

10am to 2pm Mon – Thurs

10am to 4pm Fridays
